Optical Transport Networks (OTN)

ITU-T Standard G.709 defines Optical Transport Network (OTN) as a set of optical networking equipment (MSPP, P-OTS, ROADM, Muxponder) providing transport, multiplexing, switching and management of optical channels carrying various client signals, such as Ethernet, Fibre Channel, SONET/SDH and video. Silicon Labs offers a complete portfolio of low jitter, frequency flexible timing IC solutions for OTN line card applications.

For Optical Transport Netwroks with multi-channel devices use the Si537x 4-PLL Jitter Attenuating Clock Multiplier devices.
