USB Terminal Adapter (TA)
A terminal adapter (TA) adapts a non-ISDN piece of terminal equipment (such as a PC) to the ISDN network. The TA may contain an interface for one or more analog phone lines allowing an existing POTS installation to be upgraded to ISDN. They also contain interfaces to the terminal side, the most popular of which is USB. Silicon Labs' products support the complete system including mixed-signal USB MCUs, SLIC and DAA technology to enable customers to easily build TA solutions.
