Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment uses magnetic and radio frequency fields to capture high resolution images used for medical evaluation.  Accurate data capture with high SNR is critical to MRI applications.  Since the phase noise of an Analog-to-Digital (ADC) converter’s reference clock directly impacts the SNR and equivalent number of bits of the ADC, a low phase noise XO or clock is required for this function.  Silicon Labs clock generator ICs can be used to provide timing references for image processing ICs, including DSPs and FPGAs.
