Personal Emergency Response System
Personal emergency response systems are monitored alarm systems designed to signal a medical or personal emergency. Systems include small transmitters. In an emergency, individuals initiate a signal that is wirelessly transmitted to a base unit. Base units are typically centrally monitored, can automatically dial pre-set numbers, activate a siren and enable remote “listening” and “talking.”
