Uninterruptible Power Supply
An uninterruptible power supply (UPS) provides emergency power to connected equipment by delivering power from a battery when utility power is not available. In this system the Si84xx/Si86xx digital isolators protect the processor from transients on the AC line while the Si82xx ISOdrivers switch the IGBT’s or FET’s in the battery charger or inverter power stages. The Si85xx current sensor is also used to monitor the conditions within the system for feedback to the processor
