Ultrasound

Ultrasound equipment uses an array of receivers capturing signals from a transducer array focusing on a single internal body part and from this builds a high-definition image that can be used for medical diagnostic purposes.  Low jitter clocks and oscillators are required to provide critical timing to the data converters during scan to send a pulse from the transducer array to the patient and during the reception of reflected signals used to build the high-definition image.  Audio and video DACs similarly use XO references and display the high-definition image on an LCD display.
