Automotive Tuners
Silicon Labs’ 100% CMOS automotive tuners provide full receive functionality from antenna to audio for the automotive market. Each family includes a pin-and software-compatible portfolio of highly integrated receivers that support worldwide radio band requirements including AM, FM, FM radio data system (RDS), "college bands" down to 64 MHz, long wave (LW), short wave (SW) and NOAA weatherband.
Si4741/3/5/9, Si4751/3/5/7 and all Si476x tuners also provide a high-performance preprocessor for the European RDS and the North American radio broadcast data system (RBDS). The preprocessor includes all symbol decoding, advanced error-correction, detailed visibility to block-error rates (BLER), synchronization status and times and complete, decoded and error-corrected RDS group presentation.
The Si4764/65/66/67 are outstanding dual antenna FM phase diversity receivers, integrating the full functionality of the phase diversity combiner.
The Si4749 and Si4768/69 are ideal background RDS/RBDS data receivers for automotive applications using RDS TMC and ODA and as an alternate frequency (AF) scanner. The Si4768/69 provides additional functionality, providing the FM MPX output for interface to third party VICS decoders for data applications in Japan. The Si4769 also provides digital I2S I/Q outputs for FM HD Radio HD 1.5 applications in the US.
