Silicon Labs' embedded Intel x86 clock generators support a wide variety of chipsets and processors. They provide all the necessary clock generation for the CPU, memory controller (chipset north bridge), I/O controller (chipset south bridge) as well as exceed the latest timing requirements for industry standards such as PCI Express, SATA, USB, LAN, and legacy PCI.

The CY28xxx, SL28xxx and SL28EBxxx devices are designed for industrial PC (IPC) and storage applications like DVR/NVR, NAS and enterprise storage. They are also ideal for switch routers, WAN and multi-function products. Specialized programmable features such as over-clocking, under-clocking, programmable spread spectrum bandwidth and modulation rates, as well as slew rate control help with signal integrity and EMI reduction. Industrial grade operation and industry-standard footprints for drop-in replacements offer system designers the flexibility and performance needed for industrial applications.

The low power consumption of the SL28610, SL28748 and SL28EB717 devices makes them ideal for mobile applications and small form factor embedded modules, as well as digital signage, home networking, industrial controls, medical and test equipment.
