QuickSense™ ITO Capacitive Film Evaluation Kit

KeymatEK

The ITO Capacitive Film Evaluation Kit (KeymatEK) is intended to offer developers with an alternative to capacitive sensing on PCB and Flex. The evaluation features the Silicon Labs C8051F800 touch sense MCU with Shin-Etsu “JCS” ITO Film material. The example pattern is in the form of a handset keypad. Similar to flex, the shapes, patterns, color ink graphics, and thicknesses may all be selected by the developer. For convenience, the board includes the Silicon Labs Base Adapter circuit for USB connectivity to the Silicon Labs QuickSense Development Studio for sensor performance monitoring and threshold adjustment. Capacitive sensing with the ITO film technology is also supported by the C8051F700 touch sense MCU family.
