The Si102x/3x low power wireless MCU family includes wireless development kits that enable WDS support. The Wireless Development Suite (WDS) allows automatic detection of boards and downloads appropriate firmware on the part. It gives RF engineers a platform for rapid evaluation and development of low-cost wireless applications.

These development kits provide support for Silicon Labs’:

The boards also include several code examples to exercise different hardware features of the Si102x/3x low power wireless MCU family (e.g., AES block, dc-dc converter, LCD driver, etc.). The examples are reusable code modules that can be initialized with custom parameters in the user development code.

It is recommended to use LCD boards for debug purpose during development even if the final design does not require integrated LCD. The UPPI-series evaluation cards are the engine of an MCU-based system – they contain an MCU, optional radio and minimal support circuitry.
