Additional Resources
The Si102x/3x low power wireless MCU families include wireless development kits that enable WDS support. The Wireless Development Suite (WDS) allows automatic detection of boards and downloads appropriate firmware on the part. It gives RF engineers a platform for rapid evaluation and development of low-cost wireless applications.
These development kits provide support for Silicon Labs’:
The boards also include several code examples to exercise different hardware features of the Si102x/3x low power wireless MCU family (e.g., AES block, dc-dc converter, LCD driver, etc.). The examples are portable code modules which may be easily used as a starting point for customer code.
LCD boards are recommended for debug purposes during development even if the final design does not require integrated LCD. The UPPI-series evaluation cards are the engine of an MCU-based system – they contain a microcontroller, optional radio and minimal support circuitry.
