Si3461 Single-port PoE+ PSE Evaluation Kit
Si3461-KIT
This kit functions as a complete single port PoE (IEEE 820.3af) or PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) midspan supporting 10/100BASE-T and 10/100/1000BASE-T.
The evaluation board operates directly from a 50 V (nominal) isolated input supply. Intelligent protection circuitry includes input under-voltage and over-voltage lockout (UVLO/OVLO), current limiting, and output short-circuit protection.
The EVB operates independently of any host processor control. A optional reset button and an LED status signal indicate port status, including detect, power good, and output fault event information. The evaluation board includes configuration switches to set the Si3461's operating modes to support:
- Endpoint and midspan applications
- All PoE/PoE+ classification power levels
- Classification-based current limiting
- Automatic or manual restart after fault events are detected
