Silicon Oscillators (XOs)

Silicon Labs silicon oscillators provide comparable performance to similar crystal oscillators. By leveraging innovative stabilization circuitry, silicon oscillators eliminate the need to use a mechanical resonator (quartz, MEMs or SAW) and can exceed jitter performance typically suited for high-volume applications. This technology uses a standard CMOS IC manufacturing flow to enable short lead times for any frequency oscillator between 0.9 and 200 MHz. This simplified process flow also enables very cost-effective solutions, especially for applications that require higher frequencies and differential formats (LVPECL, LVDS and HCSL).
