The Si3034 and Si3035 are integrated silicon Direct Access Arrangements (DAAs)
that provide a programmable line interface to meet international telephone
line requirements.
A digital synchronous serial interface is provided to connect to a wide
variety of DSPs and host processors. The solutions implement Silicon
Laboratories’ proprietary technology, which offers the highest level of
integration by replacing the analog front end (AFE), isolation transformer,
relays, opto-isolators and 2–4 wire hybrid with two 16-pin small outline
packages (SOIC).
The chipsets can be fully programmed for AC termination, DC termination,
ringer impedance and ringer threshold, enabling the devices to meet worldwide
telephone line interface requirements. The devices interface directly to
standard modem DSPs or system interface circuits and are compliant with FCC,
NET4, CTR21, JATE and country-specific PTT specifications. The devices are
also pin-compatible with earlier members of Silicon Laboratories' silicon DAA
family.
