I'm currently trying to connect my BRD4001 wireless starter kit mainboard to a PC. I have installed CP210x USB to UART Bridge VCP Drivers (downloaded through https://www.silabs.com/products/development-tools/software/usb-to-uart-bridge-vcp-drivers ) and able to check that the installation is succeed through control panel.
However, I couldn't get my Device Manager to recognize the vcom port ( shown as unknown BULK interface instead of JLINK CDC UART port).
I only need to use simplicity commander on that PC, so the requirement to install simplicity studio just so that I can connect the BRD4001 Mainboard to my PC seems redundant.
Is there any other driver that I have to install instead of the VCP driver?
the vcp was made for cp10x device.
if you don't have a Silabs CP210x USB-UART bridge device, you don't need install it.
if you want to use the VCOM itegrated in the debugger, you need the jlin driver。
