When I execute CP210xVCPInstaller_x64.exe on my Windows 10 PC, the Welcome window of the installer wizard appears. I click "install" and
the success window appears. But the device (ESP32 development board) with the CP2102 is not assigned a COM port. Nor does a driver
for the CP2102 appear in my driver list (enter Powershell then type driverquery). What is wrong?
could you check if below KBA helps.
I'm having the same issue and tried the KBA link that Delu posted but could not resolve my problem.
I have installed the CP210xVCPInstaller_x64.exe on 4 different pc's, all running the latest version of Windows 10 and can not get ESP32 development board to connect!
What is your version of Windows 10?
Can you try CP210x VCP driver for Windows 10 from: https://www.silabs.com/products/development-tools/software/usb-to-uart-bridge-vcp-drivers ?

I am trying to load your 210x Universal windows 10 driver to communicate with an ESP32 device. I am using Windows 10 Enterprise 20H2 build 19042.928. I have tried two different ESP32 devices and neither connect. I tried to uninstall the drivers but can not as the following message appears. Can you help?
I think something happened in your system that prevents the uninstallation.
