Thank you for posting your issue. However, we haven't be able to reproduce your issue on our side yet. Our R&D team try to update the driver which give a small tweak to see if it can work on your side. You can find the updated driver in the attachment. Please give it a try and let me know about your result.
That seemed to work without issue! Thank you!
But I wonder if it had something to do with a similar issue with a beta version of a VPN app I was also trying to install. I ended up uninstalling Sophos Home from my iMac and then I was able to successfully install that. ????
Thank you for your help!
Thank you for your feedback. I'm not very familiar with that VPN app and haven't found any issue regarding to that app. Glad to hear that you have our driver working now.
Hi Nam Dang,
I have similar difficulties installing v 6.0 CP210x VCP Driver downloaded this morning on Big Sur macOS 11.1 (on a 2019 16" Macbook Pro). Prior to attempted install, System extensions shows SiLabsUSB Driver 5.3.5 in extensions. Installing CP210x VCP Driver, software says "Currently installed: None" which is suspect, given 5.3.5 is already there in extensions. Then I get statement that I need to enter Security & Privacy to approve new install, BUT opening S&P does NOT show the expected "blocked from loading" & no query for me to "Allow" it. The only way to move forward is to select "I already approved it" but then I get "CP210x VCP Driver is not loaded, but is present in the file system. This could indicate that the driver needs user approval in the System Preferences." How do I proceed to install it?
