UDA-32 USB Debug Adapter for 32-bit MCU is invisible at Precision32 software and ay string flash programmmer after Windows 10 update. Message: "No emulator/board available." What can I do?
do you mind giving the detailed procedure you operate for you see the error? what ide you are using?
if you could upload a screen shot it helps other understand the issue you are facing with.
could you see the UDA enumerated and show up in device manager after updating?
how about power off and then power on the PC?
I have the same problem. It is down to a windows update that for me took place on February 13th 2019. restore fixes it, but it seems that hidclass, hidusb, were updated and the adapter firmware does not work with the updated drivers. Google said a similar problem occurred on Feb 13th 2018 - coincidence?
This is a serious problem, and not sure whether to see if the fix is from MS or Silabs
We've had this same report from 8-bit users since the adapter firmware is similar.
We're still trying to replicate this internally since our corporate-image machines have not yet received this update.
I did test this on a completely updated Windows 10 Pro system (version 1809, build 17763.316), and there were no issues. At present, this appears confined to Windows 10 systems running version 1803 and build 17134.590. Customers have indicated that removal of Microsoft fixes KB4485449, KB4100347, and KB4487017 (not sure which) fixes this.
As soon as we figure out what is causing the problem, we'll post a message here.
I cannot program any of my Silabs 32 bit boards any more because of this!
I have tried to program different 32 bit processor based boards, using a Windows 7 PC, and 2 Windows 10 machines. All of them have the same issue; "No emulator/board available.".
The Windows 7 machine has recent updates, but I uninstalled all of the updates done in February, and still cannot connect to the debugger. The Device Manager reports that "The device cannot start. (Code 10)".
However, my 8-bit USB Debuggers still work fine.
My win10 machines all have the same issue, they had recent updates.
My company win7 computer hasn't had any updates yet and still works fine.
I have the same issue, bought a brand new computer, i was thinking the problem might be in the usb ports, it works for a few days but after the windows update it is all messed again, I have some deadlines to meet, and having a computer offline for this porpouse is not an option. Please give us some line to follow up...
Good news, the latest windows update fixed the problem.
