I am an engineer and about to start a project that will be using a BGM13S Blue Gecko Bluetooth SiP Module as the main (only) microcontoller.
For the initial release of the product, BlueTooth will NOT be required. The Microcontoller will have a fairly simple task of responding to button pushes and adjusting a PWM output.
I have been tasked with writing the software for this initial release. I may or may not be involved when the product gets updated to include Bluetooth. In order to get a jump on the software development I would like to obtain an evaluation/development board that will at least allow me to familiarize myself with the development environment, Studio 4, etc.
I have found a couple of development boards, such as the SLEXP8027A and SLWSTK6103A. I suspect that there are others as well. Can anyone tell me which development board would be closest to the BGM13S ?
SLEXP8027A is a fix function product and don't need software development. It was based on BGX13P (not BGM13S).
If you develop code for BGM13S, I think you could take a look at UG346, usually we recommend a wireless start kit main board (BRD4001A) and the radio board like BRD4305A as a good start point.
You could buy this kit which include both the BRD4001A and BGM13S radio board.
