EFM8 Sleepy Bee Energy Profiler not working even for demos
04/92/2021 | 05:41 PM
I'm using Simplicity Studio Version SV4.1.14.0, and I have the EFM8SB10F8G Starter Kit (SLSTK2010A)
When I use Energy Profiler to the MCU current consumption, the code on MCU does not run. When I run in either debug more or standard mode the code runs fine. I am choosing to just run the demo code as is and nothing works in the energy profiler.
When I press the reset or the push buttons the Energy profiler shows the current changing but the MCU does not appear to be running code.
Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks,
Steve

I am wondering if I understand your question correctly or not.
Do you mind to describe the test procedure a bit in detail?
For the demo code, has you chosen the 'run and lauuch energy profiler'?
If this doesn't start the capture, could you click the 'quick access->start energy capture'
and select the target board to see if this make any difference.

Okay, so maybe this product doesn't have that feature. When I choose the demo and the demo code there are not Mode options:

This is strange.
As far as I know EFM8SB STK should support this.

I agree that it is weird, that is why I haven't counted this as an answered question.
Any suggestions for next steps or more information needed from me?
