My suppliers indicate that the EFM8UB10 line has gone to obsolete status. Can I get more information about this?
I just started a design based around the 20-pin package, and I really need something in that form factor. If availability is going to be an issue, will there be any plans to bring out a 20-pin 3x3 QFN in the EFM8UB20 line?
Revision C is coming so Rev. B is NRND. 2m
That's quite a fumble - to label the earlier revision NRND, before the new part is available in-stock sends totally the wrong signal.
Much smarter would be "Use as ES. Suggested Upgrade coming EFM8UB10F8G-C-QFN20"
- and you add that, when you actually know when the EFM8UB10F8G-C-QFN20 will arrive.
Sounds like some Distributor education is needed ....
The rev B part is indeed being replaced by the rev C part. See this revision control notification for more information: http://www.silabs.com/Quality%20Documents/PRCN-1508071-EFM8UB1x-Revision-C.pdf
We have a 10 year longevity commitment for all of our parts. The UB1 will be available until February 2025, if not longer. https://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/Pages/8-bit-longevity-commitment.aspx
