In the Simplicity Studio Kit Manager, I see a "Firmware Version". What is this Kit Firmware?
On every EFM8 and EFM32 kit, there is a Segger J-Link debugger. The Kit Firmware is the debugger firmware, which is updated to address debugger-related bug fixes.
If your kit has old kit/debugger firmware, you will be notified when opening Kit Manager in Simplicity Studio. Upgrading to the newest kit/debugger firmware is always recommended.

My EFM32TG-STK3300 bricked while updating the firmware using the Kit Manager. I found out how to get it into boot mode but now how do I reload the firmware? I found the folder "kit_firmware" under the Simplicity Studio installation directory. There are several folders in it. How do you know which one to use? Also, the Flash Programmer in SS does not recognize a .emz file as firmware. It is looking for a .hex or a .bin file. I am new to all this so sorry if this is a really basic question.
