EFM32TG bootloading pins on
trying to design pcb using the EFM32TG108F32
"To enter the bootloader, DBG_SWCLK must be pulled high...."
then in an0003, section 1.2, end of second paragraph:
"when using these parts (EFM32TG108) you should use a 4 kΩ pull-up on DBG_SWCLK."
can you please clarify these two statements; seems like bootloader is always active when pcb is powered.
and, activating bootloader is normally done with reset and DBG_SWCLK.
would DBG_SWCLK. and powering up do the same?
also, DBG_SWCLK is shared with BOOT_TX, which is part of LEU0, the low power USART.
pcb design has limited pin outs;
main interface is a RS485 transceiver which requires higher speed than the LEU0 can provide.
since the RS485 would use US1_TX and US1_RX;
is it possible to connect BOOT_RX and US1_RX together on the pcb?
when the bootloader is active, BOOT_RX would be active;
not sure what state US1_RX pin would be in;
can you let me know what you think about this
lastly, can you advise any data regarding interfacing the EFM32TG108F32 to a RS485 transceiver
