SI1142 is not working properly when the temperature drops from 40 degrees. I am taking proximity measurements every 500ms (Gain 3) and average it over 5 seconds. One of the ten readings saturates around 35 degree. The test was done in an environment chamber. Does it have any temperature compensation?
This does not sound like expected behavior. Do you have multiple boards that are displaying this problem? It could be a soldering issue. Perhaps the Si1142 was damaged slightly from too much heat- was it hand-soldered?
Thanks for the reply. I have 3 boards 2 of them gives me that error. Yes they were hand-soldered.
I believe this is just a soldering issue. I've tested numerous boards in temperature chambers and never had any issues.
