Thunderboard App fails to find SLTB010A or any other SiLabs device on Samsung Galaxy A20. All permissions including the location are given. Please help resolve this issue.
I'm trying to run the Mesh example in two boards but I'm getting a "init failed (0x180)" error from both client and server borads. https://snaptube.cam/ 9apps It seems that the upgrade to a the lasta dapter firmware let me there- Is it possible to have the original TB Sense 2 firmware?. Or if you have a clue please help me.
In my application that runs on Thunderboard Sense 2, I was having issues where the tag sometimes goes to EM2 properly and sometimes never goes to EM2 after reset. The issue when it happens is a permanent issue. i.e. when the board powers up or comes out of button reset, EM2 sleep mode either works properly always or never goes to sleep and never recovers until another reset. Upon another reset again sometimes works sometimes doesn't.
To make sure that it wasn't my application that was causing the issue, I used one of the example projects running on Thunderboard Sense 2 and I am seeing the same unexpected power mode behavior. The project is:
"SOC Thunderboard Sense"
Bluetooth: Thunderboard Sense application
I used Simplicity Studio to create the project as follows:
- Plug in my Thunderboard Sense 2 through the debugger USB cable
- Click on J-Link and hit "New Project" Button
- Select "Bluetooth SDK 18.104.22.168" and click Next
- Select "SOC - Thunderboard Sense, Bluetooth: Thunderboard Sense application" and click Next
- Accept default name and click Next
- Accept the pre populated board (Thunderboard Sense 2 (BRD4166A) and click Finish
I then connected my Thunderboard Sense 2 to HAPPY GECKO debug board via mini connector cable to measure current consumption. I noticed after powerup/reset, sometimes EM2 sleep works properly and I can see sleep periods, but sometimes sleep is never allowed and board remains in high power (close to 10mA) mode. Please see attached pdf file for a marked up screen capture.
I also dug into the issue some more and what is happening is that in SLEEP_sleep() function in sleep.c, SLEEP_LowestEnergyModeGet() is always returning EM1 because sleepBlockCnt[sleepEM2-2U] is always > 0 (actually always 2).
Any help with this issue would be great because battery life is critical to our application and obviously 50/50 chance of never going to low power mode will not work for us.
I found board layout files for the Thunderboard Sense (BRD4160A-A02-pkg) in this community forum. Is there a similar file for Thunderboard Sense 2 (BRD4166A)?
After a not successful software update, my Thunderboard Sense 2 shows:
There is any way to reset the board?
I'm currently using Thunderboard snese 2 and I want to send some information throught Sigfox Platform, I already have Wisol SFM10R1 as Sigfox module,
I want to know how can I addapte this module with the Tb s2
I'm working on a project that uses a Thunderboard Sense PCB, but with a EFR32MG13 instead of the EFR32MG1. Since we'll be building these boards from scratch, I'm looking for a way to program the EFM8 (which is used as a power + interrupt controller (PIC) on the Thunderboard Sense) with the PIC firmware. From looking at the schematic, I can see that the EFR32MG is connected to the EFM8 through the DBG_C2CK and CBG_C2D lines. Does anyone know if there's a way to program the PIC firmware into the EFM8 from the EFR32MG? Can anyone even identify which firmware is used in the EFM8 for the PIC functions?
I have trouble debugging my thunderboard. Debugging used to work fine, but now I can see in the dissasembly that it blocks in a loop before I can even launch the program.
The program don't go further than the beq instruction.
I've faced a similar problem before and debugging worked fine after I've created a new workspace and used the example program for Bluetooth SDK 22.214.171.124 : SOC - Thunderboard.
Anyway, i've just done a device recover using the command :
C:\SiliconLabs\SimplicityStudio\v4\developer\adapter_packs\commander device recover
Often, I also have problems when I try to debug and this prompt :
Most of the time, clicking on the "Click to query Lock Status" doesn't fix the issue. And I tried "Unlock All" even though there is no devices in Preferences->Simplicity Studio-> Adapters Packs-> Device locks.
These problems are annoying and kind of discouraging for new users on this environment like I am :/

When I try to check the Firebase code of the Android code base for the board sample, it shows me an error. Does somebody of you know where can I find the code or the replacement to this?
Hi, I have three devices, one BG22 (SLTB010A) and two sense 2 (SLTB004A) - all running Preflashed FW. All boards show up and report data to IOS Devices and also work fine with an old Samsung Galaxy S4 (android 6) but fail with devices having latest versions of android, specifically Google pixel 3a (out of the box). I tested with the play store version of the app and also tried to build one from the repo but results are the same Galaxy S4 and IOS devices work but Google Pixel 3a does not work.
Kindly help with this!
Whilst working on a project using a thunderboard sense 2, I'm encountering a few problems regarding the onboard temperature sensor
(The project builds upon the bluetooth soc empty example)
First I added the following headers to the main.c file (retargetserial used for monitoring output during debugging )
Afterwards I added the following code (inspired by the code used in the thunderboard sense 2 example project)
However, during debugging in simplicity studio the code fails to execute the SI7021_init() function.
Terminal output confirms simplicity studio debugger : si7021_init() never executes properly.
Any suggestion that can help solve this problem?
