I have BGM121 on a custom PCB with pads (VDD, GND, SWCLK, SWDIO and RST) exposed for debugging. I am using 10-pin Standard ARM Cortex Connector Pin-Out for debugging. The external debugger is not able to detect the BGM121 . It says "unable to connect to the device". I tried this on multiple PCBs but the same result.
Please let me know if you have any recommendations for mounting BGM121 on the PCB.
Is the external debugger a 3rd debugger or our WSTK ?
Please make sure that the BGM121 on custom board is powered correctly. If you are using the WSTK in debug out mode to debug the custom board, please make sure that you have connected the VTARGET of the WSTK to VDD.
The external debugger is the WSTK from Silicon Labs. The BGM121 on custom PCB is being powered properly: the VTARGET of WSTK is connected to VDD.
I will send the PCB layout using a support ticket.
Please let me know the soldering recommendations for BGM121. I checked https://www.silabs.com/community/wireless/bluetooth/forum.topic.html/bgm121_footprintsol-xePd but there is no update on the issue given there.
