As on subject i have problem to read right digital RSSI. Unit works as transmitter and then receiver.
After i receive right packet i read RSSI and it is between 30-40 so is -110dBm to -105dBm and not depend if
transceivers are 1m or 300m ( on transmitter mode works on full power 20dB)
ok, problem is solved.
Solution is to measure soon as possible after bit ipreaval on byte nr 4 is set
so after right preamble detectet
Yeah, that is not very clear in the documentation. I had hoped that the "Latched RSSI" would be the value during the packet.
Si4432 doesn't have a "latched RSSI" feature, it should be read while receiving the packet. The best timing is right after synch word detection.
The new EZRadioPRO devices have latched RSSI feature, so the RSSI information is also available after receiving the packet as long as the chip doesn't go to Receive state again.
What's the status of the new and improved RSSI documentation that was mentioned a while back?
