Missed the webinar on the BGM111 Bluetooth Smart Module ? Here are some of the questions that were answered regarding some features of the BGM111.
What is the advantages of the BGM111 in comparison with BLE113?
Advantages of the BGM111 over the BLE113 include ARM Cortex-M4F which translates to more processing power. There is also higher TX power (8 dBM versus 0 dBM), approximately 30% lower power consumption and some new peripheral interfaces being available as well.
Is it possible to connect multiple peripherals to one central device when all the peripherals have the same characteristics?
Yes, a central device (master) can be connected to multiple peripherals. Bluetooth 4.1 also allows a peripheral (slave) to have more than one master connection, but with Bluetooth 4.0 it can only have one master connection. The peripherals do not need to have the same characteristics; one master can connect to multiple peripherals simultaneously.
What are the hardware limitations regarding range?
The limitations are the TX power (max 8) and Rx sensitivity (-93 dBm) and of course the antenna used. These three define the range you can typically expect to get.
Does Blue Gecko support Message Access Profile Client and Server/Host?
Is it possible to program external Blue Gecko modules with the Blue Gecko Wireless Starter Kit?
Yes you can use the wireless starter kit to do this. The board features a debug connector where you can connect your custom PCBs for programming.

What is the temperature-measurement precision in degrees Celsius of the BGM111 ?
You will want to use an external RHT sensor for accurate measurements and connect it to one of the I2C interfaces. For example one of these which can give /- 0.3C accuracy.
What is the maximum speed in continuous streaming in a point to point connection ?
The peak throughput is about 100kbps of useful application data. But if you are connected to iOS your maximum connection interval is 20ms, which will slow it down a bit and with Android your maximum connection interval is about 50ms, which will slow it down even more. With a smart phone/tablet you can typically get 20-40kbps at a maximum.

Hi
I need for an application the Bluetooth Classic profile with a strict requierement that my device will support Bluetooth 4.2 and SDP.
Is BGM111 still supporting Bluetooth Classic and SDP or only BLE and GATT?
