Missed the webinar on the BGM111 Bluetooth Smart Module ? Here are some of the questions that were answered regarding the BGScript.
Can you port BGScript from WF121 to BGM111 ?
Yes you can, but of course many of the API are different since they run different technologies. None of the Wi-Fi APIs are available on the BGM111, but the BGScript syntax is identical.
How can I debug my BGScript code ?
At the moment the easiest way is to debug prints over UART, but with BGM111 you can also support SWO (serial wire output) so as to free the UART for other purposes.
Can you port BGscript application from BLE113 directly to BGM111, only changing GPIO locations?
For most parts you can. Small API changes had to be made especially on the peripheral interface side, but the porting work should be relatively easy.
Does BGscript handle floats and long ints?
All the variables are signed 32-bit values and we have utility functions available for float conversion.
