I am looking for an Evaluation Board (Motherboard plus Daughterboard) for experimenting with a Si446x device (preferably a Si4460) running at about 430 MHz.
Is there a similar kit available?
Hi Alberto, here is a list of the available dev kits.
You could use a sub GHz wireless development kit.
The 490MHz version uses a Si4438.
You could also use an EZR32 starter kit,
The 434MHz and 868MHz versions use a si4455.
The 915MHz version uses a si4463
Forgot to attach link to the dev kit page:
Thank you very much, Rev!
On the other hand, I have seen in Digikey that there should be a 434 MHz version with a Si4460 chip, which would suit very well my needs: the 4460-PCE10D434-EK, found at
It should be only a daughterboard carrying the RF chip. Is it maybe an obsolete product? Or can it still be delivered? And in this case, which motherboard does it require?
Thanks again and best regards,
Hi Alberto, i think you will find thats an obsolete product.
What you found is not an obsolete product. (http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/silicon-labs/4460-PCE10D434-EK/336-2479-ND/4147209)
This is a daughterboard carrying the RF chip, which requires the MSC-WMB930 Wireless Motherboard.
(4463CPCE20C460 is also a pico board, but uses Si4463 radio)
You can also use the SLWRB4502B or SLWRB4502D (EZR32) (http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/silicon-labs/SLWRB4502B/336-3584-ND/5804520), which requires a WSTK Mainboard.
I have just contacted Digikey, because actually the available quantity of this 434 MHz daughterboard with the Si4460 is zero. They told me that it is considered an obsolete item. I'm a bit confused...:-)
At this point I think that I will turn to a higher frequency evaluation board, like for instance the 915 MHz one that uses the Si4463, and then I'll modify it to make it work in a lower frequency band.
Thank you very much again,
