When using Z/IP Gateway, why is my frames coming from a different node ID than 1?
When using Z/IP Gateway, traffic from the gateway itself will be coming from the node ID of Z/IP Gateway itself (typically node ID 1), while traffic from Z/IP clients will becoming from Z/IP Gateways virtual nodes (typically node ID 2-5). This is expected behavior.
As the node ID is assigned dynamically, the above IDs are only applicable if the Gateway was the first node in the network. If Z/IP Gateway is included in an existing network, any node ID may be used depending on the properties of the existing network.
