I want to know the maximum number of zigbee devices(Like Router, End devices and Sleepy End Devices) we can add to Z3GatewayHost application?
Here Z3GatewayHost act as a Coordinator and I use MGM210PA32JIA2 zigbee chipset.
I have gone through this below link:
And observed maximum number of child devices supported are 64.
Is it same for this MGM210PA32JIA2 chipset as well, I am using Latest gecko suite v3.1 for my Z3GatewayHost application?
Thanks for the response.
Is there any way to increase number of child devices using z3gatewayhost application atleast upto 100?
You can try to directly revise EMBER_MAX_END_DEVICE_CHILDREN in ncp-configuration.h of NCP source code to see if it works.
#define EMBER_MAX_END_DEVICE_CHILDREN 32
As per my understanding you are saying that we can add Maximum upto 64 child devices( Like Routers, End Device and Sleepy End device) to Z3GatewayHost.
If we want to increase the devices like upto 100nodes, we need to add them to router devices.
But how Z3GatewayHost knows the node id's of devices which are added to router.
Please can you explain the flow clearly like how we can add more devices to Z3GatewayHost.
Is there any limit on Z3GatewayHost like maximum how many new device join information it can keep?
What is limit of 64 child devices then? Is it only for end or sleepy devices that are added to Z3Gateway/Coordinator or also router devices will come into that count which are added to Z3Gateway/Coordinator?
You mean to say that we can add some devices to the routers as well which are in same network with same PAN ID.
So that we can have more number of devices (more than 64).
But I have one doubt, Like how we can control the device which has been added to the router?
If the device is directly added to coordinator we have controlled it from coordinator itself. Like passing zcl commands.
Similarly if the device is added to router so that we can control from router itself or we can also control it from coordinator using same node id.
Thanks for the support.
I will try it out once and get back to you if I face any issue.
