I was wondering what the difference is between the Mighty Gecko starter kits SLWSTK6000A and SLWSTK6000B?
I want to buy one of these so that I can develop a Zigbee lighting control device but I'm unsure which starter kit is best.
You can refer to http://www.mouser.tw/new/Silicon-Laboratories/silabs-mighty-gecko-mesh-devkit/ for the difference between SLWSTK6000A and SLWSTK6000B.
I answered this in the portal case, but should have put it here, too, sorry about that.
The SLWSTK6000B is our updated kit, although the A may still be available depending on your distribution channel. The difference is that B uses radio boards with our newer EFR32MG12 parts (also featuring some cool capacitive sensors on the radio boards), and A uses EFR32MG12 parts, which only have 256 K of memory. If you are planning to do Thread or multiprotocol projects, then you should definitely get the B kit, but in most cases, you can make do with the A kit if it is more available.
