I cannot connect to the ISA3 adapter anymore by the em3xx_isa or em3xx_load commands. What do I do now?
Answer
First, make sure you are using the latest ISA3 Utilities. Then, please try the following steps to troubleshoot:
0. Unplug all USB devices from your PC, and restart PC.
1. With just a USB cable between the ISA3 and PC (no other cables, no board attached, not through a USB hub, no other USB devices connected to PC), power switched to "INT", issue "em3xx_isa" at the command line. If all goes well, this should initiate a firmware upgrade of your ISA3 adapter.
2. Program the ISA3 with static IP address that's in the same subnet as your PC, turn off DHCP and reset ISA3.
3. Plug the ethernet cable in and unplug the USB cable, and issue em3xx_isa again, this time with the IP address (em3xx_isa --ip xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx)
