The Si3406-GM PoE+ controller is part of the Si3406x family of powered devices ICs and provides the industry’s most highly-integrated, IEEE 802.3at Type 2-compliant, PoE PD interface and pulse-width-modulated (PWM) switching regulator. By continuing industry leadership in device integration, lowest overall BOM cost, efficiency and reliability, the Si3406-GM enables designers to easily add PoE+ functionality to their Ethernet products.

The flagship Si3406 PoE+ PD offering includes all key PoE+ features to implement a Type 2 PD for general purpose applications.  It is suitable for IP Cameras, IP Desktop Phones, Wireless Access Points, HVAC controls, lighting controls, media A/V control panels, and more.{{83::OP_EQ(90)??The high-power Si34061 PoE+ PD offering includes all key PoE+ features to implement a Type 2 PD for the most demanding Class 4 applications.  It is suitable for indoor/outdoor IP Cameras, Wireless Access Points, PoE Lighting Luminaires, control panels, and more.  With support for bypass of on-chip transistors, the most challenging thermal situations can be addressed.}}{{83::OP_EQ(85)??The low standby power Si34062 PoE+ PD offering includes all key PoE+ features to implement a Type 2 PD for applications where sleep, wake, and LED support are valued. It is suitable for IP Desktop phones where power conservation with Maintain Power Signature (MPS) support is required to lower network power demands and maintain a green approach.  With support for an LED and mode controls, a user of the device can be notified for call waiting or that the IP Phone is in standby mode during after-hours periods in a workplace.}}
