The Si5332 Any-Frequency clock generator provides the highest level of integration available, enabling complete clock tree consolidation in 10/25/100G data center, communications, and industrial applications. With an output frequency range of up to 312.5MHz, the device features jitter performance of 230fs TYP, low power consumption (<300mA for 8 outputs), and is offered in 6/8/12-output options. Si5332 features Silicon Labs’ proprietary MultiSynth divider technology, providing fractional clock synthesis with 0ppm accuracy on any output. The device also includes up to 7 user defined hardware input pins that can be assigned as output enable for one or more outputs, frequency control, spread spectrum enablement, or input reference selection. Si5332 can be quickly and easily configured using ClockBuilder Pro software, available in both factory pre-programmed as well as in-system programming options.

Si5332 jitter performance is optimized to meet reference clock requirements in 10/25/100G data center, communications, and industrial markets. Integrated on-chip noise regulation eliminates the need for external LDOs and passive networks, providing added immunity to board and power supply noise to reduce effects on output clock jitter performance.

Achieving low jitter often comes at the sacrifice of high current consumption. Si5332 breaks that barrier, attaining current consumption levels 50% lower than competing solutions to help meet system current consumption budgets in energy friendly applications.



Ultimate Programming Flexibility

Users can create customized configuration files exactly matching system clock requirements in just minutes using the ClockBuilder Pro software utility. The device features up to 7 user definable hardware input pins that can be assigned to multiple different functions, including output enable for one or more outputs, frequency control, spread spectrum enablement, or input reference frequency selection. Once a configuration file is complete, a part number can be generated instantly, with samples available in less than 2 weeks.

The Si5332 also features an I2C serial interface providing full in-system programmability.
