Step 1: Order an EM34x Development Kit
The EM34x development kits can be purchased through Silicon Labs' worldwide sales channels below.

Step 2: Register Kit on the Support Portal
You must be a registered user of the Silicon Labs Technical Support Portal and the EM34x Development Kit must be registered to obtain support and download the latest Silicon Labs development software and stacks.
Step 3: Download and Installation
Click on the Software Releases tab on the SalesForce page. Select latest EmberZNet Software from the drop-down menu and sort by Release Date.
Download from and install the latest version of the following tools:
- Ember ZNet
- Ember Desktop
- IAR Embedded Workbench
- ISA3 Utilities
Note: Refer to the Installation section in the Ember ZNet Release Notes for more details about the installation process.
Step 4: Request Software Codec
The development kit comes populated to support a hardware codec. You can obtain hardware based on the “software codec” here.
