Wireless M-Bus
M-Bus is a European standard for the remote reading of gas, electricity and other consumption meters. M-Bus enables collection of data at a centralized aggregator. The M-Bus frequency range, from 868 MHz to 870 MHz, also offers advantages in terms of range. The M-Bus stack can be used in applications beyond smart meters as well, such as alarm systems, lighting, heating control and more.
Silicon Labs’ highly integrated sub GHz wireless MCUs, receivers, transceivers and transmitters support the M-Bus standard, simplifying customers’ design efforts.
