I'm using your USB drivers and it looks like they keep freezing. What's going on?
Solution
The CP210x or C8051Fxxx USB devices may lock with some high-speed hub chips with a TT (transaction translator). This issue is not unique to the CP210x or C8051Fxxx and affects any full-speed USB device. Microsoft has acknowledged this as a problem with the Windows XP low-level USB driver.
The problem only occurs with USB high-speed hubs translating between high-speed and full-speed. The problem can be avoided by replacing the high-speed hub with a full-speed hub or placing a full-speed hub between the high-speed hub and the USB host.
Please see the Microsoft KB article for updated information on resolving the driver issue with USB 2.0 hubs.
