Note: Compatibility is specified for the following device versions:
CP2114-B02 (not -B01)
CP2614-A02 (not -A01)
The TLV320AIC310x series of codecs are listed presumed compatible in the chart above. An updated configuration for testing basic operation of the CP2615 with the this series of codecs is now attached below for reference. Note that this shows a minimal configuration and will need to be extended to fully make use of the codec features.
I beg for advice, to choose a suitable chipset for CP2114 with specifications: 16-Bit Mono Audio Voice Codec, ADC / DAC Support, Low power. In the meantime I am considering to buy MAX9860. If there is another better chipset, the price is cheap, and can be obtained via DIGIKEY or ARROW. thank you
While Silicon Labs does not officially evaluate all codecs available on the market, the above table summarizes the recommendations and information we currently have on compatibility of some available codecs with the CP2114, CP2614, and CP2615 USB-to-Audio bridge chips. Please note that the CP2114 device contains pre-configured audio configurations for two codes and one DAC, as described in the CP2114 datasheet: the CS42L55 (codec, NRND), WM8523 (codec, active), and PCM1774 (DAC). Additionally, Silicon Labs currently uses the Tempo TSCS25xx codec listed in the above table on some of our audio bridge evaluation boards (currently on the CP2615-EB at the time of this writing).
In addition to this information, we have a set of detailed guidelines that you can use to aid in determining codec compatibility as you evaluate devices for your audio application. You can find these guidlines in the following knowledge base article:
Silicon Labs does not have pricing or availability information for codecs, but you can find this information directly from the distributors, or from a component search engine such as Octopart.
I hope this helps.

Do you have any information about the compatibility of the CS42L51 with the CP2615?
Thanks in advance,
Hi Glenn, Thank you for pointing it out. I've updated the table.
CP2615-A02 will be released later this year, but I do not know the exact schedule yet.
The configuration of CP2615 can be programmed multiple times using Xpress Configurator within Simplicity Studio.
Could you mind to share which codec device you would plan to use with CP2615?
Help me to upload the updated table.
Hi Pramod, I was just aware of the picture display issue. I've uploaded it again. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
