I'm working with a Si1133 sensor and I need to know its angular sensitivity. Unfortunately I coudn't find any info about it reading the datasheet. Just knowing the field of view could be enough.
Thank you very much in advance,
Check out the UV application note here:
Thanks Tony! The information you give me are very precious!
I'm working in the simplest configuration. The field of view in this case, according to the AN, should be +-70 degrees. But, if I'm not wrong, actually it up to me. If I don't shield the direct light approaching from the side I could have some trouble but the field of view would be wider.
However, I wonder what percent of sensitivity the sensor has at, for example, 70°. I found the angular sensitivity of Si1153. I hope it is not the same of Si1133, otherwise it could be a disaster for my application, is it?
Thank you a lot!
No, even a simple optical design should at least block the light coming into the side of the sensor. Otherwise, the optical leakage will affect the result.
The perfect view angle of Si1133 is +/-30 degree. Why do you care about the 70 degree response? What is your application? For a UV application, the sensor should always be facing upwards.
The UV photodiode is in the middle. So you will have sensitivity at 70 degree.
No, the ALS photodiode is the same as Si1153.
