I did an update to the environment as the Simplicity Studio suggested and now the Energy Profiler is not displaying data when running an Existing program.
Pressing Reset icon displays a "Fail to reset energy counters." error.
I tried to reinstall Simplicity studio, but this didn't help.
I can't tell what the previous version of the Energy Profiler was, but now it's 4.0.7.
I can't also revert or show logs from the previous version since I reinstalled simplicity studio.
How can I install a previous version of the tool? Or fix this problem?
To help us troubleshoot the issue, please generate a zip file of the Simplicity Studio Logs - [Help] > [Report Bug...] make sure "Export Simplicity Studio log files" is selected, then hit [Next], pick a location to store the log file and rename it if you want, and [Finish] and upload the resulting zip file to either this Community Forum thread or else to a support case created through your Silicon Labs account or at the bottom of the page on this link: https://www.silabs.com/community/software/simplicity-studio.
Also is the board that is being used with the Energy Profiler your own board or a Silicon Labs STK or WSTK? And which part if being used? Does it matter what the existing program is that is on the board or is the problem seen with any program? As a quick test, I was able to run the latest Energy Profiler (4.0.7) using the existing program on two different WSTKs and I am seeing the energy data correctly, so with the log files we should be able to figure out why this is not working for you.
It somehow started working on its own without my interference.
I'll send the logs next time it happens
recently i updated energy profile from 4.0.7 to 4.0.8 for efxx32 device.but after after update it doesnot showing wave i am trying this without code correlation..
i have attached the screenshot.what is the issue behind this??
Same for me : doesnt work after 4.0.8 update and can't find a way to go back to 4.0.7 :
I'm using STK3300 board as ampermeter for IoT project and after last update of Simplicity Studio 4 with obvious rework of the Energy Profiler tab, nothing display ;(
I can still flash the program in board but the interface displays no curve.
Please help (I need to measure dynamic current before sending board to customers) !
Can't get this workaround to work :( Can you describe more precisely what you do ?
found the solution :
Select J-Link in Debug Adapters tab then click on "Device configuration" -> J-Link Configuration tab -> change Addressing Mode from USB #0 to Serial number et voila :)
