May I ask if there is any option to use a different theme than "Light" or "Dark", because both look VERY ugly in my opinion....

Hi @Thomas Bauer,
The appearance of Simplicity Studio can be affected by the Operating System theme settings, so that might be a factor if you are not using a default operating system theme. Beyond that it is possible to customize some of the colors and fonts through the Preference sections ([Preferences] > [General] > [Appearance] > [Colors and Fonts] and [Preferences] > [General] > [Text Editors]). You could also post a screenshot and let us know what areas / colors of the current themes you dislike.
Where I can see the description of PRORTC? This timer appeared in sleeptimer, but I can't find a description.

OK, I probably was a bit to inaccurate.
I am using Manjaro (Linux) with a Dark Theme (Matcha-dark-azul) ... my Eyes do not tolerate the enormous brightness of "light" themes and therefore it's not an actual option.
I know (just for fun installed eclipse 4.14) that my theme does not effect "bare" eclipse, therefore probably something by "trimming" of options and config settings got forced to some default value maybe??? (*i don't know much about such a customization process - as like you're doing with your IDE here*)
As a feedback, I have recognized that it has become quite fast and way better to handle (compared to SimplicityStudio4) no freeze or else
But I don't know if it is possible to implement things - which are obviously present in "classic" eclipse 4.14 such as:
AddOn/Plugin Manager (e.g. the entire Marketplace of Eclipse)
Eclipse Config Files (in order not to be forced to use the graphical interface, but just supply a config file to the IDE)
or to be general - do not lock all the nice feature provided by eclipse - just sign them with a "userwarning" that's not intended to change the regarding parameter.

Awesome, giving it a look, and looking forward to upgrade all emberznet project to new version.

@Victor Marcon,
Please note that EmberZNet support has not really changed yet in Simplicity Studio 5 and the advice on the Simplicity Studio 5 pre-release page is to keep using Simplicity Studio 4 for existing applications.. You can certainly port your projects to Simplicity Studio 5, but the development flow within the project will not really change at this time. When Importing an EmberZNet Simplicity Studio 4 project to Simplicity Studio 5 you are referred to Quick Start Guide "QSG106: Getting Started with EmberZNet Pro" for instructions on how to port the project.
@Thomas Bauer,
The Eclipse Marketplace package will be added to Simplicity Studio 5 with the next update. Many of the Eclipse config file options will work if placed in the 'studio.ini' file, but backing up your work before experimenting is always advised. And standard Eclipse features can be enabled by making changes to the [Preferences] > [General] > [Capabilities] tab, but again these other Eclipse features are not tested with Simplicity Studio 5.
Thank you,
jpitt

@jptt,
Thanks for the info, yeah, the development flow is kind of the same, I was first exploring the new openthread appbuilder and I REALLY like it, it was fast and clean, I was eager to see if the zigbee got the same treatment, but sadly same UI, but is a lot faster. At this time I am only testing and exploring, I am having some ui glitches using KDE and Arch linux, some computers could not get to login screen, others could, I will wait SI5 to get more stable, also my distro is not officially supported so the problems I have are mine to solve, hehe.
But definetely looking towards openthread solutions, quite a lot of things already working flawlessly!

@jptt,
Perhaps this is personal, but I really did not like the work of the up and down keys in the BLE GATT configurator.
When I hold down a key, the page starts scrolling smoothly, it's slow.
Wouldn't it be better to use the up and down keys to quickly navigate through services and characteristics?

Hi @Alex Lipskly,
The BLE GATT configurator is setup more as a webpage and that is why it does the scrolling. I will pass along your feedback.
I've tested new simplicity studio v5 on a linux mint machine, sdk installation is fine but still it didn't work, program loaded but efr connect app can't find any temperature sensor, i loaded soc-thermometer project. but i like new pin-configuration tool as there were few issues with hardware configurator, i'm not sure if it is possible to install this new pin configuration tool with studio v4, it don't appear under tools. i'm using simplicity studio 4 in windows machine and want to install new version keeping previous one intact, is it possible to install studio 5 along with studio v4 (on windows machine)?
Psst... Simplicity Studio 5 early access

Hi MichaelN!
On Win10, v5 works much faster than v4!

Hi jpitt,
Just idea, maybe it would be nice to add the number of active modules in the "Software components". Example in the attchment
