Withing this sentence you write "one header byte location" . Does this mean that any and all bytest TO be MATCHed *must* be in FIELD1? In my case, they are not. They are in Feld2 (Field1 is the byte describing the length of Field2, which is variable in nature.
Also, do you know if it is possible to perform a match against the first byte (or bytes) contained within Field2? If so, can you suggest scripts top mamange this?
