The Z/IP gateway manages IP communication using contiki. At the radio layer within the stack we're naturally using UDP/TCP. If I desired to use LoraWan as an alternative (semtech sx1276) perhaps by utilizing the KRATOS - could this be possible? I believe communications would still fall within LoraWan duty cycle restrictions.
Has anyone here successfully bridged Z/IP with LoraWan either via C/API or modified the contiki stack to do the same?
I have a complex rollout where ethernet may not be practical in all circumstances.
LoraWan is different to Z-Wave protocol and I don’t think it’s feasible to bridge Z/IP with LoraWan either via C/API or modified the contiki stack
I'm not convinced. Options (feasible ones at that);
Z-Wave <-> Z/IP <-> C/API <-> RAK811 (Serial) <-> LoraWan
Z-Wave<-> Z/IP with modified Contiki <-> sx1276 <-> Lorawan
I'm aware that they are different protocols, hence: https://stratisiot.com/connected-solutions/lora-to-zwave-stratis-gateway/
