When using Ember Desktop to capture ZigBee traffic, what does Baseband dropped Rx mean in the Summary column? This typically follows packets marked as Invalid command identifier
Baseband dropped means that either the radio is picking up on noise that it drops, or a message is coming in too weak so it gets dropped. Basically, if the radio receiver can’t lock onto the packet or it gets a stronger packet during the reception of a weaker one, it will register a baseband dropped error.
Occasional occurrence of this is normal. However if it happens a lot and the packets being dropped are part of regular traffic and not noise, then you should take a closer look at the RF environment.
