ISOvolt Isolated 3 V, 5 V Supply Reference Design Kits

To help system designers with providing the necessary isolated power supply for the secondary side of the isolation interface, these reference designs provide a plug and play solution for up-to 3W of isolated continuous output power with 78% efficiency, fold-back current limiting, thermal protection and flexibility to allow for 3 V or 5 V inputs and outputs.

For 3 V inputs and 5 V outputs, the ISOvolt35 provides the right transformer design while the ISOvolt55 provides the right solution for a 1:1 voltage transfer for a 3 V or 5 V power source. These use a UMEC or Delta custom transformer and also include a 4 channel digital isolator, the Si8641 that is powered using the on-board isolated DC/DC solution. The Si8641EC provides 3 forward and 1 reverse channels with 3.75 kV of isolation.
