SystemView Now Free for All Silicon Labs Developers
Unlock powerful real-time insight into your embedded applications — at no cost.
Silicon Labs is excited to announce a partnership with embedded design leader SEGGER that gives every Silicon Labs developer free access to SystemView, the professional-grade trace and visualization tool, without additional licensing costs. This collaboration empowers developers to better understand, analyze, and optimize the behavior of their embedded applications running on Silicon Labs devices.
SystemView is a powerful real-time analysis tool that makes it possible for developers to see what’s happening inside their embedded system as it runs. It records events such as interrupts, task switches, and API calls so developers can visualize how their firmware interacts with the hardware in real time.
With SystemView, Silicon Labs’ device developers can:
- Record and analyze RTOS activity, task scheduling, and interrupts
- Measure CPU load and performance bottlenecks
- Visualize timing and execution flow for better optimization
- Debug hard-to-catch issues as they happen
- Improve overall system responsiveness and reliability
Whether you’re working with Silicon Labs’ wireless SoCs or EFM32 microcontrollers, SystemView helps you gain a clear view of your system’s behavior. SystemView integrates smoothly with Silicon Labs’ existing development environment and hardware:
- Simplicity Software Development Kit – includes the SystemView runtime software components
- Simplicity Studio – includes the Component Editor that makes it easy to add the SystemView software component to any project
- Hardware Kits – all Silicon Labs hardware kits come with a SEGGER J-Link debug MCU on board
With SystemView and Silicon Labs tools working together, developers can take advantage of an end-to-end workflow.
