Bluetooth NCP Commander

The Simplicity Bluetooth NCP Commander is a tool for sending BGAPI commands to NCP target applications. It offers an intuitive GUI for controlling BLE or Bluetooth Mesh NCP targets, allowing users to learn the Bluetooth API, launch commands via a smart console, perform common BLE functions, manipulate GATT databases, and provision Bluetooth Mesh devices.

Step 1: Download and Install Simplicity Studio

Select your operating system (Windows/macOS/Linux) and follow the installation instructions. Complete the installation using the provided setup instructions.



A. Choose Full Installation (Recommended)

When prompted during installation, select the Full Install option.

Note: Choosing Full Install is the easiest way to make sure you have all tools available right away.
 

B. Manual Installation via Package Manager (Optional)

If you skip Full Install, you can install individual tools as needed:

  • Open Simplicity Studio
  • Go to Package Manager
  • Browse or search for the desired tool under the Tools tab
  • Select and install it

Note: This method is useful if you prefer a minimal setup or only need specific tools.

Step 2: Launching and Using a Tool

  • Launch Simplicity Studio
  • Go to the Tools menu on the left side
  • Select the installed tool and click to the “Play” or the “Open Tool” button
  • If the tool doesn’t appear, confirm it is installed via the Package Manager
