About this Session
Bluetooth Channel Sounding, a new feature in Bluetooth 6.0, is bringing precise, secure, and reliable ranging to IoT devices. But how do you make the most of it in your product designs?
In this session, we explore how Silicon Labs’ Bluetooth Channel Sounding solution enables developers to create Bluetooth products with high-precision location awareness. Our solution delivers exceptional ranging accuracy, making it ideal for advanced spatial awareness and real-time tracking applications. We will demonstrate the performance of our solution, showcasing how accuracy and power consumption trade-offs can be optimized by fine-tuning key configuration parameters such as antenna paths, channel map, and more.
We will present two live demos. Our first demo will be tracking a moving target using our Channel Sounding Visual Analyzer, demonstrating real-time tracking capabilities. Our second demo is Automapping, which generates a 2D geometric map or visual layout of devices based on measured distances between all device pairs—a perfect input for applications requiring spatial awareness, such as Access Points. Through hands-on demonstrations and step-by-step parameter tuning, you'll learn how to optimize Bluetooth Channel Sounding for access control, asset tracking, proximity applications, and more.
